Posting from work.
HP sent my computer back to me - fixed, but they didn't include my old hard-drive that was allegedly "corrupt." However, they did include the initial replacement hard-drive they sent to me, which didn't fit my computer, forcing me to send it to the service center in the first place. This is annoying because I didn't realize that iPods are one-way devices. I luckily backed-up almost everything, but pictures and music were all on my ipod. Now I've got this modest 1200 song music library that I can't get back on my computer. I discovered this at 11:30 last night. SO, I do some research and find out that there are many 3rd party software options to hack the main-frame and get the music back into itunes. I download one - doesn't recognize my pod. Download another, and it just toys with you by giving you 250 songs transferred for free before they make you pay 20 bucks. At 1AM I'm sick of it, so I decide to pony up, only to have my credit card rejected by the on-line software merchant. You know you've got problems if shady software companies won't even take your money. Sigh. I'll try again tonight. I could do it manually, if I could figure out how to get Vista to show hidden folders.
I had a great weekend, tho. Very cocoonish. Baked bread on valentines day. Went skiing by myself. Even did the black diamonds. holler. My knees were tired by the end of the day due to my poor form, but I had a good time overall. Not bad for free. Had Monday off, so I went to the gym at the Pentagon. You've never SEEN anyone make so many textbook complete stops and lane changes in a parking lot in your life. No probable cause here, fuzz. Also tried on motorcycle jackets on Monday and bought one online today for 40 bucks cheaper. Spendy, but productive.
