I think I'm going to grow my hair out for the duration of the cocoon. I've got a bit of a mud flap going on. Or as the french call it, a meux-lei. To keep it business in front i require more hair gel than usual. But, if i get the wavyness flowing, it has quite a nice effect.
TWO-A-DAYS have been coming back this and last week. It feels GREAT to be out as the sun is rising. I've kicked it up from jogging 2.6 miles to 3 miles yesterday. The hardest thing about running in the morning isn't even running - it's hearing the alarm at 6:05 and being up by 6:15. My knees are holding up well. The warming gel I use on my IT bands before running feels tingly and nice. Sombra warm therapy. I recommend.
I had to add a street loop off the trail to bump up to 3 miles...I came running down hill back to the trail to close out the final half-mile, but I hit the trail about 25 feet after this young woman - and I think I scared the bojangles out of her. I don't know how fast she usually runs, but she kept the exact same distance ahead of me until i peeled off. It's either a concidence, or she was scared. She also glanced back at me about every 45 seconds...so I'm going to assume she was scared. So to you, pigeon-toed runner girl with the purple shirt - you're welcome for the great workout.
Lifting is going well. I'm getting stronger and lifting more weight, which is good, but I'm not seeing much change in muscle size. Strength is good, sure, but I wouldn't care if your gramma could dominate me as long as I looked ripply. Maybe I should close out the cocoon by doing P90-X. Those informercials have me thinking.

I've had a very eye-opening couple of weeks spiritually, and it deserves its own post. I'll hit that up soon. Please stay tuned...
